Kapa Haka Activities

Kapa Haka Activities

1. Te Puku o Te Ika

I really liked the song and how it was sung. I also like the tune of the song and how it was performed. This one was definitely my favourite.

2. Tamatea Arikinui

I like the poi movements and that they were all in time. I also liked the singing.

3. Te Iti Kahurangi

What I did like like the song and how it was sung. I also liked the movements to the song but I did not like the flute or some instrument that was like that in it.

  1. Hi Abby

Te Puku o Te Ika is a very moving song. They sing this song with a lot of passion. They are obviously singing it for someone as you can see that they are holding a photo while they all perform.
I really like Tamatea Arikinui too. As I like to watch the poi when they are performing.

These festivals that they have are just amazing. They must put in a lot of practice to get their performances so polished.
Have you been to a festival before?
Do you do Kapa Haka at school?

I enjoyed reading your post, well done Abby.

    Until next time

    Allie :)
